Hi, Thanks everyone!

I have just used the latest ZIphone ver2.3 from the ZI blog on my Iphone. Worked perfectly on my old ibook G4, running TIGER ver 10.4.11. The iphone was running 1.0.2 ver firmware. Just follow the 'unlock activate jalibreak 113 Iphone' guide, and use the latest ZIphone 2.3 software. Hope this has been useful, see ya Maloo

1.0.2 to 1.1.3

Hiho

I would like to know what am I supposed to do to upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.3 . I have an unlocked iPhone.

Do I need to make a Virgin Restore before doing something or just with upgrading to 1.1.3 via iTunes?

Thanks in advance

1.0.2 to 1.1.3

Hi Canelo;
before your start, go to Zibris and get the latest ZIphone 2.3 for Mac OSX at: http://www.ziphone.org/
1. open itunes, and download to itunes the 1.1.3 update software
2. then, connect your iphone. Itune will ask if you want to update and restore- grit your teeth and do this!
3. then iphone will ask you to back up your current iphone- do this
4 then, when finished this process, quit Itunes.
5.then open Ziphone, click ALL three BOXES
6. wiat for it to finish, do not touch anything.

7. then open Itunes, and RESYNC your iphone. No restore, not not update

tell me how you go, see ya Maloo

Can I use this application to upgrade a jailbroken, activated, unlocked iPhone running 1.1.2 (it came with 1.1.2 but I had to downgrade to 1.1.1 then upgrade to 1.1.2 again using the previous hacking tool kits).

If if I can use this software on my hacked 1.1.2 iPhone, how should I proceed? If I just upgrade to 1.1.3 to start with I am worried that I will brick my iPhone.

NO, NO, NO!!!! If you have a phone with 1.0.2 firmware, DO NOT CHECK THE LAST BOX (unlock box). Maloo...you are a fool!!! Anyone who follows this moron will enjoy a bricked iPhone!!! Also, as stated many times in this very very easy guide, if you have 1.1.1 firmware or lower, do not check the last box. Lastly, if you have question regarding this very, very, very, very easy guide, you should not be messing with your iPhone.

Casanova, please get your facts right before posting. My Iphone is 100% working perfectly. The 2.3 ZIphone software supports the 1.0.2 firmware-go check. The MMI guide is 2 days out of date as I write this

Help

Hiya

I have an iPhone 1.0.2 and followed the steps from the Tutorial to change it to 1.1.3 and everything went flawless until i reached the final step. I just used AnySim and after the unlocking process, I got an error (Sim Failure). I dont get signal. I swapped the Sim and that error didnt appear but still I have No Signal/Service (upper left).

Can I ReRun AnySim?
Restoring to a fresh 1.1.3 via iTunes wont cause any damage to the phone?
Can I repeat the process all over again?
Any clues on what to do next?

Yours
Canelo

Well i solved the problem.

I just restored to 1.1.3 and downloaded the newest version of ZiPhone which allows you to unlock 3.9BL iPhones. Ticked 3 boxes and voilá, got my 1.1.3 Unlocked iPhone Working.

Your locate me feature will not work b/c this method flashes your baseband to 4.02. You may be able to reflash it to 4.03 using the iClarified source.
The baseband fixer doesn´t work, it gets me "Execution script error
" message

This is not risky if you follow the instructions. Did you RESTORE to 1.1.3 to start clean? Are you using the OSX GUI from MMI or did you download something else? windows?
Yes, I tryed again and it works, but sometimes, somehow, with complete new iphones there´s a problem restoring to 1.1.3 with otb 1.1.2 iphones. Shows an error and I have sometimes to restore again and again or and use independence to enter DFU mode because buttons can´t, or to kick the iPhone from DFU mode to run ZiPhone aftedr an error restoring to 1.1.3.

Does anyone know if this method works with a IPSF license ?

I got a 1.1.1 phone the week they were released (before anysim was working with 1.1.1 baseband). I downgraded to 1.0.2 and bought IPSF.

Other methods seem to require an application called signal.app is this still required when upgrading to 1.1.3 (the IPSF website hasn't been upgraded in 3 months) ?

Thanks

My jailbroken 1.1.3 isn't being recognized as jailbroken on iBrickr, nor iPhonebrowser, anyone know why?

didn't work....

i feel like i must be doing something wrong... but the steps are so simple...

i have a 112 otb week 50 iphone which was unlocked and jailbroken. i backed up my files, restored and upgraded to 113. when i click "free your iphone" it processes for a second then says done. however, im still in the connect to itunes/ slide for emergency.
i tried letting itunes load the iphone, then unlocking/jail/activation again and same thing. nothing happens... any tips?
thanks
