I'm sorry, I feel so stupid but I cannot even get past step1! I download virginizer 0.4, but it comes as a .rar file and I cannot do anything with it. I then got a .rarexpander and it expanded it...but it still doesnt give me what I need to work with. It gives me all plain text files. Please help. Thank you.

i know it s unlocked but i don t have any idea which method was used
is there any way that i can find out because i wanna update for 1.1.1
then i want to able for moding .there is some programs helps for down/upgrade but they are saying so many different method but i am not sure which one i should fallow can u help me for this matter thanks

i did everything u listed in the first step of unlocking the iphone starting from this step(Downgrade 1.0.2 baseband OS X iPhone) and i keep getint the same baseband name which tells me that id did not downgrade it and this is the error im getting

I couldnt sleep so I woke up to see if I could virginze my phone.

I was able to do the entire virginization via the terminal program on my iphone itself. Cyberduck couldnt SSH and I was getting frustrated. I took a big risk because i didnt even back up my stuff on my desktop. Well i am fully unlocked now and couldnt be happier.

Sorry I cant help you all with that terminal bug, this was sort of my last resort but I could have done some serious damage to my phone.

hi Guys,

I am trying to upgrade my firmware, but I am stuck at the first step.
I reverginize it correctly , everything was good. I tried to reinstall the firmware 1.0.2, but i get an issue. I hold the option key and click on restore, iTunes ask me which files i want to use, but when i click on the folder iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore, i can't select it. I add the same error when I try to select the folder Firmware. Do you have any idea of how I can proceed?

EDIT: I find my issue. I made a mistake when I was choosing the firmware. I needed to choose the zip file instead of the uncompress folder. I continue...

Hello,

I cannot upload the virginizing files, I get the following error on each file.

SSH Error: Upload failed
/usr/bin/ICE03.14.08_G.fls
An error occurred, but no specific error code exists to describe the failure.




I have also tried deleting the 2 files that I am overwriting and could not... Any thoughts?

guys.. everything went great, i didnt unlock yet.. im waiting for BSD to download, but inside installer it shows that i have only 61 MB available.. is this normal? i dont think so! from 133 to 61!!!

Have read most of the discussions here and on balance, it seems to me that there are a LOT of problems experienced with the Virginizing method. Is there an OSX alternative or are people still holding out for a Dev Wiki GUI method. I am happy with 1.0.2 unlocked but would like to venture into 1.1.1 territory ONLY if it is safe via this method. Any thoughts?

After re-installing BSD Sub-System and the various files I got a bit further but eventually in terminal I got this response:

Uninstall the iNdependence-SSH version (Dropbear SSH) and use Installer.app on your iPhone to install OpenSSH.
You want to see a "#"-prompt instead of the "-sh-3.2"

I skipped the seczone.backup step after trying all the recommended ways/workarounds. It just didn't work for me. It just seems like norz is bugged.
Anyway, everything else luckily worked fine. I've got a dutch T-Mobile 1.1.1 iPhone here now. Thanks!
