Check out this link given by Hyperextension. It's the best way to make get ringtones to your iPhone AND keep them.

Thats a really good method.. Only down side is you are forced to use AAC... this method works with MP3s as well. I wonder if both methods can be used together??

Putty not working
The putty program isn't working for me. It tells me either that the connection was refused or that the connection timed out. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Does not seem to work with iTunes 7.5

Environment:
Win XP
AnySIM unlocked iPhone 1.1.1
iTunes 7.5
I followed all the instructions to create a Symbolic Link for the Invincible.plist
Everything works as desired but when I sync my iPhone using iTunes. The symbolic link is removed and the default Ringtones.plist is there.
Can author/anyone else confirm this behavior. To me it seems that iTunes 7.5 does make a check for any linked files and breaks it.
Or is that I'm missing something ???
