I followed this guide to the letter and now I cant get my phone to work.

The SLIDE TO UNLOCK doesnt work. The phone beeps, and stays on the slide to unlock screen.

HELP!!!! what do I do?

Try reinstalling the
meCCA file.
mine was the old date.
Look at the date, make sure it's 10/28/07

thanks for the reply but that means nothing to me. I have no idea what Im doing apart from following steps like I did at the start of this thread.

update....

I unticked the .m4a file in my iTunes Library and re-synced and now the phone DOES unlocks for me.

So is the problem with the ringtone file?

Select a ringtone you would like and transfer it to your itunes music library. Convert the ringtone into aac format via itunes. From there upload the ringtone as a song to your iphone. Use SendSong (can be found in the installer app) to send it to the iphone ringtones directory(open SendSong and tap the song(ringtone)you want>select send to ringtones). Go to settings>sounds> and select and set your ringtone. Thats it!!!!...please note that itunes will erase your ringtone when you sync unless you follow modmyis guide to avoid it. However if you choose not to do that Send Song keeps a list of all the ringtones sent through it (SendSong>Edit) so all you have to do is just resend the ringtones through sendsong ITS THAT EASY !!!!

1. Edit your own ringtone with audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
2. Use iTunes to convert it to m4a.
3. Rename it to "file .m4r" (the space is important)
4. Upload it to /library/ringtones/
5. After applying the patch below, it will show up in your ringtone list and PLAY!

Now THIS is what I was looking for. Nicely hacked!! Cudos to the guy who did it....

Worked like a charm, now all I have to do is add my ringtones to the Ringtones directory... sweet!

Guys, save yourself a lot of headache and just use SendSong for ringtones.
One click and you've ringtone from any song you have all on iPhone. SendSong is available from Installer.

If you install SendSong, you can get it in Installer.
You can send your songs in iPod to your ringtones, just restart the phone and it will play!
This is for 1.1.1

just used the programm above works apart from the "time" when i had a song went for 6120 it put 30000 but just change it and works fine takes about 30secs to put a ring tonne in

i am pretty sure i am following all the steps correctly. i can see the ringtone on my iphone, but for some reason, when i select it, there is no sound...

does anybody have an idea on whats going on here?

i have the same problem, they show up but no sound...
how did you get it to work?
