    I wondered if there was a programme that would let me browse the media and files on my laptop from my iphone were i could basically take over my laptop off my iphone while away from it but both still connected to internet but able to view on phone screen

    logmein has a free app. there's also several free Remote desktop apps out there, but logmein works just fine for me. i use it on my phone to connect to my laptop, home pc and work pc. they're all on windows. hope this helps

    Logmein do it for you, just synchorize them and then your laptop will be under your fingertips on your iPhone 4S!

    I've used teamviewer for years and it has never failed me. Free and have full control of your desktop from your phone from anywhere.

    actually logmein is a good alternative. It works on both Windows and Mac.
