Installer.app

I notice that even when you update the apps through installer that it lists the old app under "update".

I have 7 programs floating in there now that say they need updated but really don't.

Anyone got any suggestions to getting them out of there?

I tried to uninstall the app itself and then install the newest version but the old version still manages to get placed in there telling me to update when I don't reallly need too.

Ideas?

Yeah, this happens to me to with gpSPhone... I don't know how to cure it, though.

Its because the same app is on different sources. When one of the sources update the app and the other doesnt, u get the older version in ur update section. So unless both sources update the app to the same version, u will just hav to live with the old version updates.

By sources i mean repository

yeah. I think they should make a universal rule that everyone has to update an app at the same time... but that would be difficult to do.
