Question Webapp - Avoid sleep mode?

I've done a small webapp wich provides live data with a refresh rate of 50 seconds. If I pull this page up in Mobile Safari on my phone, the phone doesn't go to sleep since the page is reloading before the sleep timer comes in. If I hit the "+" and "Add to springboard" to appify it, it doesn't care about the reloads anymore. After 60 seconds running from the springboard icon, the phone goes to sleep if you're not touching it.

Is there any tags or javascript that could disable the sleep timer?

I don't think you can control those things from a webapp.

Yea a web app has no way to control weather or not the iPhone is sleeping/awake.
Imagine if a random webpage could keep your iPhone awake, that'd be just weird...
