I opened an email from microsoft about MSN mobile. clicked on some links and saw nothing special. I was hoping to see an app I could download but saw none.
closed the email and suddenly I see this icon (see image below)
when I click on it, it opened up mobile.microsoft.com
so I figured an icon was created for a website. ok, thats fine. but now how do I get it back? I opened up the email again, did the same thing as before but it did not create an icon like before.
so I open up safari and made one manually except now I have a standard icon instead of the one that was there before.
any advice.
thnx.

How did you do that? My girl friend has done same sort of thing like you. And I have been looking for a solution, and I found it. But still confused about how to do it. I have tried the procedure, but nothing happened. Pls help me. Thanks in advance.
well all you have to do is save the webpage to your home screen. open up the web page you want (ie msn.com) click the plus button and choose "add to home screen" and an icon will be created on your homescreen. I played around with various websites and some have their own icons. in addition, you can make your own icon, just save the bookmark with the same name as your icon. so if you save modmyi to your homescreen, and you want to make your own icon, name it the same as the page you save. so name the bookmark modmyi and name your icon the same.
