iCopy ~ Copy and Paste in Safari or to email
Hi there,
Came up with this little app and hope you all can enjoy it and help me make it better.
It allows you to copy chunks of text from a web page to other web pages or to email. You can also copy the URL of the current page you're on.
Please, if you have any comments on how to make this better let me know either in this thread or by email. I'm working hard to make it even better than it already is and welcome any comments.
Also, please share this with friends or other forums you visit.
Thanks.

sounds good in theory, has anyone tried this?

wow that pretty cool. i just tried it. the copying to email thing works great. with selecting text, it looks like u can only select a paragraph at a time. u can select individual lines. is there you can make this work with like sms or something? a way to be able to text a website or something? good job though. im gonna keep playing around with it.

Hmm, I guess I can try using the web gmail instead of the mail app for a bit to see how this fares.

Hey Iman, thanks for reviewing my app on Youtube. I've been planning on putting a couple of tutorials together to show people how to use it properly.
Couple things to say.
1) if you load a page and the box is too small you can always zoom in. In fact, since it's in it's own div tag you can double click and it will fill up the whold screen.
2) Working right now to select just specific text within a paragraph. Hoping to have that out in the next week. It's been giving me a bit of trouble but I have a few ideas I came up with earlier today.
Glad you like it and thanks for the vid demo.
Jack.

Like you said, a bit rough around the edges, but a great start and pretty useful already!

Thanks - this looks very useful, and just very cool to see someone's doing something with copy&paste.
It would be great if you could copy chunks of text into Evernote or Google Notebook, or simllar notes capturing apps - but as soon as you go to edit a new or existing note it invokes the keyboard, and you can't pull up the bookmark. Is there an obvious way round that, that I'm not thinking of?

@ JackTheTripper
no problem man. u just keep on keeping on. ur doing a fantastic job. and thanks for the tip on the zoom. i knew there was a way it just didnt come to mind when i was playing with it.
since this feature relies on safari its gonna be hard trying to paste into sms or notes or something right? and proly impossible to do it the other way around.

I have to give you kudos for coming up with some copy/paste functionality that seems quite simple to use. I am sure functionality will imporve as future versions come out. Either way this is a great first version!

Wow, I've not seen so many of us EiC'ers on MMi.
Anyway, this looks cool. I'll have to try this when I get home tonight.

Well your vid spurred me to get off my ***** and put together my own vid. (Sorry, just couldn't have yours out there saying the menu was too small.
)

(First Youtube vid. Don't know what's up with the gray at the start. Wasn't doing that before I uploaded.)
One more. (more gray
