thats why you dont jump so quick on updating your iphone firmware....most of the 3rd party jailbroke app wont work.

Actually your dead wrong.
Almost every great app out there now works with 3.0, and have been around 1 week after the 3.0 firmware was released.

I have 5 Column spring board,
Stacks,
5 icon dock,
mxtube,
backrounder
etc etc all of them working.
Basically pretty much anything you want is working now

im speaking in over general...not just concerning to 3.0....

everytime you update when a NEW! firmware that just came out, there will always be some jailbreak apps that aren't to speed with the new update and their apps will not work....

jeez la wezz so quick on judging people you totally miss the point....

I wasn't judging.
2) THere are over 1 Billion apps on itunes.
Now the MAJOR good ones are always updated and several others.
3.0 firmware has more features including bluetooth to be played around with.
So I've customized my itouch pretty much to its max with almost every good app there is.

Now look at the negatives and the positives.
Im just seeing if they will make some other firmware for itouch to reduce battery problems

Download:

Put these archives on your iPhone (e.g.: /tmp/)
then exec (in ssh):
cd /tmp/
dpkg -i SkrewCommon155.deb vWallpaper110.deb

Normally you don't need to reboot, just respring (or type killall SpringBoard)

Known issues:
- iPhone doesn't go to sleep mode
- Sometimes the video doesn't restart after leaving an application

zomg! i REALLY have to get to sleep. its 2:45am. working on hackintosh dell d610, and i gotta be up at 6am... haha! now i got this on my plate too! Great

This is a forum, indeed. Although this is one of the biggest forums for the iPhone. Its annoying to get 20 emails per day from noob users (not that I have anything against noobs except this) asking the same thing. Guys i downloaded the files, put it in the files via winScp call "private" so i open terminal and typed cd /private/dpkg -i SkrewCommon155.deb vWallpaper110.deb
And nothing happened....wats wrong here

in wscp, just select the 2 files, right click them and in the menu "custom commands" select "enter" option, then you just type: dpkg -i SkrewCommon155.deb vWallpaper110.deb

and thats about it

The instructions arn't very clear.
I get the part where you have to get mobilesubstrate.
Then download these 2 files

Then where one of those do you put?

Put both vWallpaper110.deb &Shrewcommon155.deb in the /tmp/ folder.

THen what is "exec (in ssh)"?
And What are these 2
"cd /tmp/
dpkg -i SkrewCommon155.deb vWallpaper110.deb"
Do you put those 2 codes inside terminal?
Like

Su root
alpine
cd /tmp/
dpkg -i SkrewCommon155.deb vWallpaper110.deb

??

HUTCHI : i did what u told me, it worked (i guess) but the program didnt (vwall) doesnt show up in my iPhone....When i exectd, it didnt give me any err mssg or anything, is there anything i should do after i exec it?

Great, i think i did something wrong and now my icons are all GONE, and im restoring my iphone 3Gs sigh*

happened to me too, try to reset ( home button + power button until it completely shut it self)

=> Did you completely uninstalled previous versions of skrewcommons and Vwallpaper?
=> is mobilesubtrate installed?

Today I was thinking about the apps I had on my iPod on 2.2.1 and then I remembered vWallpaper. So I go and download it and it doesn't work and I was like that sucks. So I can't wait for vWallpaper on 3.0!
