Wallpaper Request Help Needed

Hiya,

I have been trying to change the background color of this picture to black, I am very new to photoshop and don't know how to do it. Can anyone help please.

Here you go.... I just did a real quick fix on it
But it should look good enough on the phone

Wow, that was quick Thanks very much E-Dragon. How did you do it, did you use photoshop or another app. I have a few I would like to change and would like to be able to do it myself.

All tho I can do it in Photoshop, I used Photopaint X4..
I'm much more comfortable using Corel then Adobe....
It’s just a matter of masking and layering

1.) Mask the area you DON’T want changed
2.) Copy the masked area
3.) Duplicate that object (may or may not need to, see below)
4.) Fill in the background
5.) Use the eraser tool to clean up the edges
If you want to change the shadows (like I did on her)
6.) Darken the second layer object, using Gamma or Lightness
7.) Lightly erase the top layer to create the darker shadow areas where you want them.
Done!
