Default How can a Canadian get his unlocked iPhone 3GS on the verizon network
    Good day People!

I'm a new trucker and travel from Canada to the US quite regularly; which is the main reason I unlocked my iPhone 3GS using ultrasn0w 1.2.8

Anyways, Everything is great in Canada, I have a SIM card and a plan with Telus, but When I tried to call Verizon to get a SIM card and a plan through them I was told "Verizon doesn't deal with Canadians". As the Canadian at heart that I am, I apologized profusely to the rep I was talking to and then proceeded to try to find a workaround by googling how to get my phone working on a US network, but couldn't find any information.

So it all comes down to my faithful jailbreak community; has anyone been successful at getting their phones to work abroad on multiple networks? If so, how can I do it?

    Thank you very much,

1st Verizon is a CDMA network it won't work on your 3GS because it was made to be used for gsm. If you want a plan with Internet go with AT&T because there Internet is faster. Now if you don't mind extremely slow Internet get t mobile

Called AT&T and they were more than happy to set me up with a plan.

Thank you for the explanation regarding the CDMA and GSM network.
