Sprint 4s Over Seas Unlock

I have a sprint 4s that I purchased from Ebay. It has a clean MEID number and is not on a contract. I bought the phone for my elderly mother. (because she wanted one!) I thought she had Sprint but she has Verizon. Needless to say it would not work for her. So I bought her another one for Verizon. Now I have a extra 4s locked to Sprint. I now live in Thailand. I thought I could be lucky and it would be an earlier model that was not locked. I had it shipped to me here in Thailand and tried it but it was locked. I've tried 2 different sims without success. (R-Sim2 and the X-sim)

So the question is, Could someone in the States add my iPhone to their account have it unlocked for overseas use. Then in a few days remove it from their account? Just say they broke it or what ever. I've read that many long term customers had their phone unlock the day they get them. Any thoughts or volunteer$?

Try calling AT&T.... They're unlocking iPhone's for customers right now.

But it's a Sprint phone.........you think they would unlock it?

I've seen people that have never been a customer of AT&T and they got it unlocked. Give it a go and see what they say.

use R-SIM III... Its now out for the cdma iphone 4s from sprint and verizon!!

You can also use SAM from Cydia.

Is using SAM really that easy? Gonna try it out after work. Dnlded the repo but couldn't find the SAM part hahahaha..!!!

Thanks guys! The SAM unlock worked great. I would still like to get it unlocked through Sprint. Just to be safe.

Than you obviously did something wrong... It's said to work with all SIM's including Sprint.

Lol there's tutorials all over the internet about unlocking it with SAM. And yah I haven't lol, I don't use Sprint

My Sprint 4S has a sim card in it. Have you tried putting one in? You stated in your original post that you had a 4S. Now you're saying 4. Which is it? I know the 4 doesn't have a sim tray but the 4S does.
