Disastrous consequences ........
I read Cynix's thread about fixing caller ID, http://www.modmyi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6903
As i was not aware that i was supposed to unzip the .tar file, i uploaded AppSupport.tar directly to /System/Library/Frameworks/AppSupport.framework/
Now my phone will not start up. I cannot connect to it via iBrickr (or my PC) and thereby get the chance to delete the file.
I have done several resets and run the battery down, but to no avail. I get to the white apple logo and then it just keeps "hanging" until i reset again or switch off.
I can't reinstall the firmware as the PC and thereby iTunes wont connect to the phone, as it doesn't really seem to start up
.
I am desperate and any ideas would be much appreciated.
The phone is unlocked and has firmware 1.0.2 on it.

Try to restore to 1.0.2 on itunes.
- First hold the power and home button untill you get the yellow triangle
- At this point when you conect the iphone to itunes it will tell you that you need to restore.
- While Holding the [shift] key click on the restore button.
- Select the 1.0.2 firmware that you should have downloaded
- Sit back let the restore complete

Its too much memory.... so you have to restore.
Just restore your phone... depending on whether or not you are using a mac or pc, you are able to choose which firmware to restore with.... with a pc I think its shift+hitting the restore button, but Im not entirely sure. Do a search and check it out, but basically I think you have to restore, I had a similar situation. All is... so Accept and Just Be

Thanks for your replies guys, but as I mentioned I never get any further than the apple logo (which just stays until I reset again by holding home and on button). No yellow triangles. I never get far enough in the startup process for the pc to pick up on the phone and thereby doing anything to the phone via the pc. Therein lies my prob.
