Whatever happened to the UPDATE problem?

Hi all,
Maybe I'm missing it but I have 1.0.2 with apps on it. How are we supposed to get the new update by apple? Last I heard the haackers were supposed to find a way to restore the phone and lets us update without it crashing. I have been reading all over but I cant find any info.
Please help, as I do want to know if there is a way to update with apps on the phone.

They have been working very hard on getting us the fix for this, be patient, its a lot more work then it sounds.

yea it's a lot of work anyways I dont see anything better than sticking with the current firmware 1.0.2

ok well thats cool its just that everyone was talking about it on the beginning and suddenly no ones talking about it
