Unlocked iphone with dead spots on screen

I purchased my iphone in NYC on Septemeber 23 and unlocked it.

So last night i notice that the top section of my touch screen doesn't work (where 123 on the keypad are). Im going to take it to the apple store in buffalo this thursday.

Do you think they will fix it for me even tho i unlocked my phone?
considering it's a hardware problem not a software problem

Should i tell them i unlocked my phone?
i restored it and put the AT&T sim back in, they also may not be able to check my IMEI since i think they need the keypad to do it.

What are the chances of me getting a new phone with 1.02 firmware?

Anyone have any suggestions

chances are you warranty is void or u can try to restore your iphone to 0 and see how it goes

Do they have anyway of knowing it was unlocked?

if u take it..do a full restore even if its unlicked!
