Waiting 30 Days (or less) for a refund thru PayPal Claim vs. Waiting for a refund, I made a smart move.

Just wanted to let you know that I am happy with my choice with going through Cowboy. I purchased the 24-48 hr service and it was with in the time limit. I went out today and picked up a Germany prepaid sim and phone is working perfect.

Hey Cowboy, I requested a refund a month ago for service I purchased three months ago. I guess my unlock could not be processed. Could you request a refund from your unlocker?

Just got your email responding to it now

After waiting 70 days passed today I got an email from PayPal says that they are denying my claim because the purchase was for a virtual, digital, or intangible item, which is not covered under PayPal Purchase Protection. So this ideviceguys or cowboy or whoever he is got my money with no service. It is now your turn to STOLE that money or unlock my phone or refund my money. What is your decision cowboy??
01-08-2014, 06:23 AM #1136
My decision is to point you to read the last 3-4 pages of the thread.
01-08-2014, 07:01 AM #1137
So we have to wait. We already waited 70 days for something. It's interesting you're asking extra 36 bucks for the service. We paid for 15 days service it's been more than 2 months and you're asking extra. Excellent business. And please don't delete people's criticims about your service if you're keeping praises.
01-08-2014, 11:16 AM #1138
Yup I am asking extra or refunding.
01-08-2014, 11:22 AM #1139
Then refund my money!!!
Finnaly you gave a good advice.. it is good to read previous posts.
Guys anyone who couldnt get money from paypal. Appeal the desicion. And remind them that by US Law it is NOT legal for companies like Ideviceguys to unlock Iphone 5S and 5C Devices because they were made after January 26th 2013.... It's Now Illegal to Unlock Your Cellphone - ABC News
Because of that - 'Cowboy' / Ideviceguys are violation the PayPal Acceptable use policy....
You may not use the PayPal service for activities that: violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation.
You may also do more since most of you guys live in the States..

Let me first respond to the two posters before me about deleting posts. Cowboy didn't delete your posts. We have a spam filter on MMi, any new member with fewer than 5 posts who tries to post a link will find their post automatically moderated. It then has to be approved by a moderator to show up.
Secondly on your claims what he is doing is illegal, well that's a bit of a grey area. If I am not mistaken it IS still legal for the US carriers to unlock the phones themselves correct? Well the method in which this is done is basically an ATT employee is the one doing the unlock submission. So technically, the carrier IS the one still doing the unlock. So you and anyone would have almost no case with the "illegal" argument. Now what these ATT employees are doing is most likely in violation of their job description, which could lead to them getting fired for example. But that's probably as far as it would go legal wise.
