Default legally factory unlock iphone4 without having to restore and loose jailbreak
    Hi all,
    I have an iphone 4 @ 6.1.2 jailbroken w/Evasi0n... that works like a charm.
I'm with Rogers and i want to go with Fido.
Rogers charges 50$ to unlock the phone and i was about to do this until i've learned that
to complete the unlock process, I'll have to restore to factory settings through iTunes.

Obviously, i don't want the new firmware. My shsh blobs we're lost through cydia (as we all know)...
    modem firmware is 04.12.05

    What's my options here?

Thanks you'All....and have a great day

Do a network reset with Fido sim inserted. No need to restore.

You may want to check eBay, it may be cheaper to unlock your iPhone. However, make sure the seller can imei unlock Roger and read review to make sure the seller is reputable. You can follow the instructions below to activate a jailbroken iPhone. Note that the instructions was a few months old, and it says to download an older Redsn0w. You can get the latest version. Good luck
