evasi0n 6.1 no service ultrasn0w
Need help here guys, I have an iphone 4 that was on 5.0.1 with 1.59.00 baseband. I preserved the baseband with redsn0w following these steps:
redsn0w -> extras -> even more -> restore -> choose iOS 6.1 and tell it not to update baseband.
redsn0w -> extras-> select IPSW -> choose 6.0, new bootrom (I didn't exactly know what new bootrom meant, it accepted the 6.0 firmware I had downloaded but not 6.0.1 so I figure i did this correctly...)
Enter DFU mode
redsn0w -> extras -> Recovery fix
Start phone with original carrier SIM (i have a spare at&t sim)
cydia -> install ultrasn0w
I installed ultrasn0w and I dont think I was getting service, so I installed the ultrasn0w fixer from http://repo.iparelhos.com. Now I get 1 bar and it does say t-mobile when I restart it, but then it quickly loses service. I tested it when it had 1 bar and I managed to connect to my voicemail. I've been googling and I found that you should install the ultrasn0w fix before ultrasn0w, so I uninstalled both and did it the proper way but I'm still facing the same issue.
