Unlock 3GS on iOS 6?

Can't get Cydia on iOS 6 yet. Is it still possible to unlock a jailbroken 3GS?

Depends what ya baseband is at. And IMEI will be ya best bet. No more custom firmwares etc. it will be a perm unlock

Could you give me more info? Super new to this. I think I've only done this once and it was quite a while ago. Things have changed, I think.
