Default Can I unlock or downgrade/upgrade then unlock this iphone 4 on 4.2.1 ?
    Hi

I have an Iphone 4 on 4.2.1 and bb 3.10.01 made in xx052, is it possible for me to unlock it to another carrier or downgrade/upgrade and then unlock it?

I looked around and I can't tell which information is real vs not.

    Thanks.

IMEI unlock is your best option.

Any other option that doesn't require me to buy something?

^Yes, it requires you pay for the imei unlock. Some are as cheap as $7.00 (AT&T phones only for that price.).

You'll have to buy something, whether it is gevey sim or the actual unlock. If you're with Bell, they won't unlock it. Rogers will if you're done your contract, I believe Telus is the cheapest at $50 with the least amount of restrictions. Either way, IMEI unlock is not cheap.
