Default New iPhone - How can I tell which firmware I have?
So, I just got an iPhone I hope to unlock. Is there an easy way to tell which firmware I have installed? I started the 1st step in the unlocking guide.
Connected to "restore" but it is not giving me the choice of 1.0.2 or 1.1.1.

I am getting the dialogue box to restore to 1.1.1, which I cancelled.

I had earlier downloaded the 1.0.2 file that I have on the desktop.

But it is still unclear to me what version firmware I have.

    Any thoughts?

I'm presuming you are talking about general settings on the iphone. I have not activated the phone yet. I tried using iNdependence to activate, but I am getting a message saying:

    Failure, Error entering Recovery mode
