First timer... Need help. Thanks in advance
Just got an iPhone 4 AT&T. Im trying to unlock it, but with no success.
I paid 20 bucks to easyunlockingsolutions.com but have only been able to jailbreak it.
My phone has the infamous 4.12.01 firmware.....
Is there a way to unlock it?
I bought it in the US and am now in Nicaragua doing volunteer work. I really need to get this working, What should I do?
Is there a way to unlock this from here?
Thanks

It would be easier if you go to Settings-->General-->About and give more details of your phone. Experts on this model will be avaialble soon.....

when you say No Way to unlock it, do you mean No Way?
There are no options? Wow. Is there anything in the works?
What about a factory unlock from ATT?
Thanks

There's ways, one being the AT&T factory unlock. But it all depends on your status with them. Their policies have dramatically changed since they started unlocking them for people. You have to either be a current or former customer of AT&T, otherwise, there is no way of getting it factory unlocked from them. However, there is one other alternative that has been confirmed as 100% legit. officialiphoneunlock.co.uk is the only site known at the moment that does it, check them out if you get a chance. It's a factory unlock and does not require a jailbreak or anything else. It gets permanently added to the servers, so you can upgrade and downgrade all you want and not have to worry a tall.

Thanks for the input.
How reliable is the officialiphoneunlock site?
The price is a little steep but I wouldn't mind if they could really unlock it.
Thanks again

They are very reliable. I use them all the time. Works out to about $85 or so now for AT&T. And it's a permanent IMEI unlock.

Thanks for the help.
One last thing... Do I need to Un0Jailbreak my phone before I do the unlock?
If so, are there any directions on how to do it?
Thanks again

As long as you didnt hactivate the phone when you jailbroke then you will be fine.

No, I don't think I activated it. I just jail broke it with Cydia a couple of days ago.
What is the most reliable way to UNjailbreak? What has me worried is that Ive read of some phones getting stuck in a permanent reboot state.
I searched the forum but didn't find anything for unjailbreaking 5.1.1
Thanks

Just hit the restore option in iTunes after plugging your iPhone in. It erases all signs of the jailbreak from the device and resets it to factory settings.
