Default iPhone 3GS Unlocking iOS 5.1.1 with BB 06.15.00
    Hi everyone,

I have recently restore my iPhone 3GS from iOS 5.0.1 to 5.1.1. Also, jailbroken (Unthetered). I want to use my local sim on it. Is there any unlock solution there or when it will be available?

    My modem firmware is 06.15.00.

    Regards,
    Hussain

Ultrasn0w in Cydia should unlock that baseband.

Have you rebooted the device a couple of times? Wait at least 15-30 minutes after doing so, sometimes it takes time to pick up signal.

Ok, well restore it to a custom firmware then try again. If all that fails, attempt to downgrade the baseband with Redsn0w and try Ultrasn0w again after.

No, I mean custom firmware with Sn0wbreeze, or Redsn0w. If the downgrade doesn't work, and you can't get Ultrasn0w to work on your current baseband, I would suggest waiting for the updated Redsn0w to be released to do the downgrade.

As of now, simply restore and reJB your device, and continue to do as I had suggested previously. Reboot a couple times after installing Ultrasn0w, and waiting 15-30 minutes to see if it picks up signal.

No problem. The update that is soon to come will allow a more consistent result in downgrading the baseband from the 6.15.00 baseband to 5.13.04 which will allow for you to unlock with Ultrasn0w. It will likely "surely" downgrade the baseband but not do the unlocking part. I think 5.13.04 is more reliable to unlock than 6.15.00, so just wait for that.
