Also, if your still finding your having the issue, might help to install "Crash Reporter" from cydia.. Although it might not make a lot of sense looking at the logs, you're will be able ascertain to a degree, where the problem lies by the number of times a program crashes (in the case of a conflict perhaps).

How do i unlock the iPhone in this case. Its not factory unlocked and i used ultrasn0w earlier to unlock it.
I cannot make calls without the unlock.

Sorry for the late reply.
Here's what kept me busy for the past few days.
With all these problems going on, i installed crashreporter from cydia
all my crashes were related to something called poc-bbot
a simple google search revealed that it is some kind of virus (ikee virus)
i changed my ssh password and deleted all ikee related files and still had these problems
so i moved back to 4.1 with 6.15.00 and changed the ssh passwd first.
things seemed to work well - no crashes
so i decided to try 5.1.1 again, only this time i kept it on 6.15.00 as i had no problems with that BB (GPS etc worked fine)
made a call and everything seems to be fine now..but its just 2 hours since i installed 5.1.1 .. so i'll come back here tomorrow with updated results and hope that its all solved..
Thanks a bunch friends, for your invaluable help

Excellent!! always good to hear good news Just to say, you'd be fine to baseband downgrade (nothing wrong with it), just keep an eye on anything you install & you should be good Enjoy squire

ok bad news,
It happened again after a few calls
so i went back to 4.1 .. .. and it happened again .. reboot during call
currently i am Jailbroken on 4.1 and 5.13.04 .. with ssh passwd changed right at the beginning
another problem is that the crashreporter doesnt show anything after the crash. earlier it used to show "poc-bbot".
So now i dont even know whats causing the crash.
Its not 5.1.1 because the same thing happens on 4.1 too.
could it be battery problems?

Is this with or without additional apps installed?
07-15-2012, 11:31 AM #28
It is with apps installed.
This problem is really hard to reproduce..there are times when i talk over the phone for over 10 minutes and nothing happens..sometimes just a 5 minute call is enough to cause the reboot..
crash reporter doesnt show any log at all..

In which case I'm more dubious of the apps as opposed to anything else, does it run fine without them? It's quite possible something is eating up the memory & bombing it out... Another option would e to re-install mobilesubstrate & ultrasn0w.

if you closed those apps from the multitask window and your phone is still crashing during calls, it is highly probably to be a hardware issue then software related
install SBSettings and enable the ram display in the status bar, then make a call and notice how much RAM your device has just before it crashes
