05-27-2012, 04:10 PM #1PLEASE HELP! Lost all of apple's apps
I'm running an iphone 4 on 5.1.1 jailbroken on Friday via Absinthe 2.0.1
I came home today from work, noticed that half of my apps are gone, EVEN cydia. What is going on?? I've never had this problem before and I've jailbroken every iDevice from iphones to ipads (all generations from both).
Things I've tried to far:
Tried to reboot, still the same.
Tried to do a hard reboot, still the same.
Tried to restore from backup, still nothing.
List of missing apps to name a few:
List of apps that were still there:
Does anyone have any idea what went wrong? I haven't even had the chance to add any cydia apps because there was so much traffic the past couple of days.
I remembered the very last thing I downloaded at work today was Words with Friends through the app store, now I don't even have an app store!

Try restore your phone and re-jailbreak. I did it that way and restored from my backup after I had run Cydia.Until the next time… And if I help you out, give me a "Thanks!" Thanks!

+1. Your stock apps going missing means something with the restore or jb went wrong. Your very best solution is to restore and reJB.
Edit: It's hard to tell what exactly went wrong. I've had it happen to me once, and it was due to the jailbreak more so than the upgrade/restore. It's a fluke, just gotta redo it.

Thanks for the replies!
I did it and it worked, BUT as I installed FolderEnhancer, some of the icons vanished again, but luckily this time...I still had the cydia icon so I could easily remove FolderEnhancer from my packages and it went back to normal. Not sure if it was FE that was causing it or something else, but its okay. I got it back to normal. Thanks again.
