Default Cant connect via Cyber Duck
I have successfully activated my i phone today however I cannot unlock it.

When i start up cyber duck and enter the correct details (ie my ip address) ad the defualt details as shown in the guide it doesnt let me connect.

I have been at this all day. I am using a latest MAcbook and am close to giving up.

I have installed via app tap the following apps:

    network = dns tools
    Sources = community sources
system = bsd subsystem 1.5, installer 1.91 and openssh (4.6p1-1)

I have also downloaded but obviously not yet used lockdownd and unlock.

Can someone please guide me as to why I cant connect via cyber duck VIA SFTP USING PORT 22 and username root and password of dottie.

the error messgae i get is:

    i/0 error: connection failed

    sftp://[email protected];22

the kex timeout (30000 ms) expired

are you sure the ip to the iphone is correct? its suppose to be like 192.168.1.x

  3. #3
    nah, mine is 192.168.0.x too..

You sure that you only installed only 1 SSH, if you have the independence SSH installed, you will have to remove one.

That is the ip address im getting for the iphone.

    Router address was 192.168.0.1

This was using my ADSL network at home

I do have access to a dsl modem.

I could try on this network tommorrow if you think its an ip address issue.

Prety sure i only installed the one SSH.

I could always restore to factory settings and try again,

Pretty sure It was al right though

Anyone else come across this problem before?

Ok tried re-instaling everything from scratch 3 times today.

I have tried both networks available to me.

I have also tried transmit, cyber duck and fugu but i cant connect via sftp with any program.

Is there any setting or permissions that I have to edit on the mac?

I have the same problem. Cyberduck and Fugu not connecting. Installed SSH via Independence. How do you know if you have more than one installed? (Had my iPhone hacked by someone else). Running out of ideas. Help much appreciated.

    Hi All,

I have the same problem in trying to connect - I'm trying to virginise the phone to upgrade the firmware to 1.1.1 but can't connect to put the files on. Error with Fugu is:

    ssh_exchange_identification:Connection closed by remote host

    Any ideas much appreciated.

I don't think you use 192.168.0.1 to sign in using cyber duck, thats your router number and not ip
Go to Setting->Wifi -> next to your own network there's a little blue arrow (click) -> ip address
& that should be your sign in number

Default Cyberduck is buggered methinks :(
Tried any configuration under the sun, so downloaded Fugu, turned WPA security off and hey presto I'm in !! (iPhone4 - Greenpois0n 4.3.2) , used port 22

OK here's the deal folks, turn of all security on router, connect Cyberduck/Fugu (both in turn if you've got them) - bookmark connection and Quit. Put security back on router - all works brilliantly
