I've got a question about the unlock method by sam, especially the restore of the lockdown folder. But it's hard to explain whats my question because i'm german and i can't write english very well and...it's difficult

A while ago i tried to unlock my iphone 4, ios 5.1, bb 04.12.01 with sam. I don't know if it succeded cause i don't know if it was to late because apple already fixes their servers. I cannot remember what i have tried completely but i know there was no message from a succeded unlock or something else. I've had "no service" displayed on the iphone. But it's not so unnormal because generally the signal strength at my home is very bad. At every provider.

When i now restore my saved lockdown folder to my iphone sam says "wildcard activated" and the numbers under "sim details" is the same like under "sam details". A absolutely safe sign that the unlock was successfully? Or is the "wildcard activated" status from the jailbreak with redsn0w because the tool automatily hacktivates the device? But i thought, when it's hacktivated, sam says "factory activated" or i'm wrong on my remember?
