    Default [Tutorial] How to activate iMessage/FaceTime officially on T-Mobile US (using phone #)
    I found this guide on another site, figured I'd copy/paste it here for others to see. This will allow you to send/receive iMessages and FaceTime calls using your phone number, something that isn't normally possible with a Gevey sim.

    ===========================

    Last night I came up with a method to activate iMessage using my phone number after try after try, from trying various of methods that didn't work for "us" gevey users. Finally I got it to work after doing 2 different methods 1st one was with SAM, which didn't work, and 2nd method I tried actually worked following by the +011 trick which was successful by me fooling around also with an carrier.plist file setting. "RedialOnRRCConnectionFailure"

    This is what you'll need:

    -iOS 5+
    -iFunbox (do not edit the carrier.plist files in iFile for safety reasons)
    -Jailbroken iphone
    -SAM or ATT SIM (SAM IS NOT NEEDED TO ACTIVATE iMessage/FaceTime, ONLY use it to Activate iphone via iTunes)

    1.Either activate your phone with SAM or ATT SIM (This must be done 1st before proceeding!)

    2.Go to (CarrierLab.bundle or 00101 folder) /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone/00101/carrier.plist
    -back up the file carrier.plist (just in case)

    ADD ->
    < key >PhoneNumberRegistrationGatewayAddress< string >+011447786205094< /string >

    SET ->
    < key >RedialOnRRCConnectionFailure< /key >
    <true/>

    ---

    3.Now go to /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone/Unknown.bundles/carrier.plist

    ADD -> "+011" To all the 10 numbers you see under:
    < key >PhoneNumberRegistrationGatewayAddress< /key >

    NOTE: Its told that, if you use +011447786205094 for all 10 numbers instead of the others, T-Mobile will not charge you... Thanks to Cooldayr
    But I used the defaults in the picture, and I didn't get charged..

    UPDATE 2a - Possible Fix / Alternative:
    NOTE: These settings right here are actually the defaults when I had restored my phone from a backup via iCloud

    SAVE then DONE!

    Re-spring, and reboot.

    You might have to toggle iMessage/FaceTime off then on, and leave it on then it will finally activate.

    For testing my method, because I wasn't sure which method worked for me, at first I thought it was SAM but it wasn't...

    NOTE:
    Remember every time you activate iMessage and or FaceTime it will charge your account additional $0.15 cents every time, because that's how much it cost to send an international text. So keep that in mind. As long as you keep these settings ON and never turn it off, it won't charge you, and it will stay activated. Re-Boots are safe!

    Hit the thanks button, !

    UPDATE # 1:
    For the people who are missing APN/MMS settings, install Tetherme from cydia.

    UPDATE # 2:
    I been doing some testing and restored my phone to see if I can keep/re-activate iMessage/FaceTime activation by restoring from a backup.

    1.If you restore your firmware, and restore from a previous backup where iMessage/FaceTime was officially activated, you won't need to re-activate it anymore "per say".

    2.If you do this, make sure YOU ACTIVATE YOUR PHONE THROUGH iTunes or SAM. (or you will run into problems)

    -I forgot do this step, since I didn't have to activate my phone after restoring since activation was bypassed and I accidentally turned off iMessage thinking I can turn it back on with no problems but that wasn't the case. Once I "Officially" activated my phone through iTunes using SAM (or u can use att sim) I applied the fix in my TUT (Repeated Steps 1-2), and iMessage and FaceTime was activated after (Respring)

    UPDATE 2a - Possible Fix / Alternative:
    3.Now go to /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone/Unknown.bundles/carrier.plist
