Thread: iPhone 4 occasional no service
03-02-2012, 06:14 AM #1iPhone 4 occasional no service
I have an iPhone 4 running 4.3.1 unlocked and jail broken. I have an occasional no service problem which occurs intermittently, sometimes never in a day to 10 times a day.
Is it an unlock problem or some other problem. How to fix it.

Is it unlocked using a GEVEY SIM or is it unlocked using Ultrasnow?

It is unlocked using ultrasnow.

I think this is probably a network issue. Have u tried uninstalling and reinstalling ultrasnow? U may also want to reset network under settings after installing ultrasnow. Mk sure u don't erase all settings as that will brick ur phone and force u to upgrade to an iOS that comes with a baseband that can't be unlocked. It is unlocked with ultrasnow 1.2.2 and there is an update to it with version 1.2.5. I am scared of upgrading gearing losing the unlock in the process. I hate going through the process of restore, jailbreak and unlock.
Also I have noticed that whenever I make a call, I lose the cellular GPRS service for some time.
Lately, when I turn of the cellular data GPRS, it doesn't show no service.

I don't think upgrading to the latest ultrasnow will cause u to lose ur unlock. Try resetting your network settings and see if that helps. I have a few friends with the 01.59 baseband and none has ever complained about a gps issue. I unlocked all their phones for them and had to reset the network settings after installing ultrasnow for everything to work properlyJailbroken Factory Unlocked Iphone 4s 32Gb, Jailbroken Ipad 2 16GB

like what af4s said, remove your older version of ultrasn0w and upgrade to 1.25
