Where do I start?
I have a Iphone 3g I bought from my mom it is and At&t Phone It was working fine until I reset the phone to factory settings and that was a BIG mistake because now the phone is locked I have looked around here an it looks as if I have to jail break the phone my issue with doing this is I know nothing about this phone can someone give me some advice.. Thanks

The At&t store said that when I reset the phone that the phone realized the sim was not activated and thats why the phone is telling me it need a puk so he told me that the sim was bad and I would have to get service though At&t to unlock the phone and I want to get around this

Try to restore and see what happenes that will normally git it back up and running

What did it do give ya an error? Tried to hold shift then hit restore?

ok lets start over let me explain my situation a little better the phone says (no sim card installed) what do I need to do to get around this?

Why don't you try and buy another sim card and see I think they like 99 cents and AT&T store. Can't think of anything else.
