Iphone 3gs signal drop/no SIM

Hey, I'm trouble with an Iphone 3gs 5.0.1 on Ipad 6.15.00, The iPhone will not search for my sim card unless I do the airplane mode on/off, any idea whats causing it? unstable bb? I upgraded from 4.1 via snowbreeze

Just curious here... If you switch off 3G, data & location services then reboot the phone, do you now find that it becomes stable until you switch on location services again?

Just tried inserting my sim after you suggesting turning off everything, I still get no sim

Airplane mode on/off, managed to pick up T-mobile with only 1 bar inside and then it started doing no service

When you upgraded, did you preserve the baseband or re-install it?

Snowbreeze preserved the Baseband. IOTWS I did not flash the Ipad BB again when Upgrading to 5.0.1

I had the same problem with 5.0.1 on 3GS 05.13.04, it keep searching for network signal for a long period of time and sometime found network some not. Downgrading back to 4.3.3 to make it works. May be the 5.0.1 & ultrasn0w not working well together.

I flashed the Baseband again, I'm guessing its a hardware issue now but anyways the iPhone doesn't lose signal after it picks up after doing the Airplane mode toggle.
