Either get itunes to download it or get it from the downloads section at the top of this page.

we did the same thing as above days back and it gave a message that firmware failed to detect. At that time you adviced to download the 5.0.1 firmware. So now i have to select extra's first then Stock IPSW and then load the downloaded firmware and then what should be done after its loaded ?
[ Goto iTunes to restore or just hit jailbreak to take it to DFU ]

You were jailbroken before. Now you are not. That is the difference from the other day.
There is no need to manually select the firmware.

sorry why did you say that 'am jailbroken before and now you are not jailbroken. ' . I didn't get you well.
The current status is that the phone is jailbroken with cydia installed.

You were supposed to restore to the 5.0.1 firmware in itunes. That was the whole point of downloading it.

Only itunes can restore your firmware.
Restore to 5.0.1 in itunes.
Activate phone with official carrier sim if you have one (if you dont just go to next step)
Use redsnow, select jailbreak
Choose to install cydia and ipad baseband
done

Is there anyway to unbrick an Iphone 3gs (newer edition). The baseband for mine is gone. I have tried restoring it with itunes. Nothing has worked. It just keeps looping and restarting. Any help is appreciated.

I have given you the steps you need to do to unlock. Not sure what there is to be confused about.
Here is your refresher:
1:Restore to original 5.0.1 in itunes.
2: Activate phone with official carrier sim if you have one (if you dont just go to next step)
3: Use redsnow, select jailbreak
4: Choose to install cydia and ipad baseband
5: Install ultrasnow from cydia to unlock
done
Do it, trust me
You will end up with a jailbroken and unlocked iPhone.
