3g Unlock?

Hi I have a 3g with cydia installed but I'm unable to unlock through ultrasnOw or anything else!, it's on 5.15.04 and 4.2.1, Would it be possible to Downgrade or any other method for unlocking guys?
I'm new to all this

Do you have any SHSH blobs saved?
iPad BB upgrade may work.

I've only just got the 3g so having any saved may not be the case although on cydia start page it says 4.1 and 4.2.1 would that help me downgrade? or is the 4.2.1 quite tricky

First, download quickpwn and jailbreak your phone
Use the latest firmware to pwn your phone (download it from Apple here). This will allow you to install Cydia or Installer. If you just updated your phone or updated your phone on the computer you are running quickpwn on, you probably won’t have to download the firmware.
Then, add the repositories (DO NOT ENTER THESE URLs INTO YOUR BROWSER per Dev Team’s instructions).
For Cydia enter: http://apt9.yellowsn0w.com/
For Installer enter: http://i.yellowsn0w.com/
Install yellowsn0w. Run it.

Turn off the iPhone and install your third party SIM.
Turn on the phone. Wait until your carrier pops up. If it doesn’t, take the SIM out and reinstall it.

You are already on 5.15.04 Baseband, if you downgrade the iOS it won't change the baseband, there is no way bring the baseband down, you can only bring it up to 6.15.00 (iPad Baseband) that is your only chance of an unlock on your iPhone 3G.
