Please help! Iphone stuck on activation screen!

Hi,

I have an iphone 4 (firmware 4.3.3, baseband 4.10.01). I wasn't getting any push notifications so I installed an app from cydia called SAM but it didn't work. itunes stopped recognizing my phone and it said that there was no valid SIM card in it. I uninstalled the app and rebooted the phone. Now I can't activate the phone anymore, I can only make emergency calls. My phone is carrier locked and I can't get a valid sim card because I'm in a different country.
Can I restore the phone with baseband preservation so I can still use my Gevey Sim? Will I be able to hacktivate it and how? Help please!

Have you tried running redsnow on it to see if it will hactivate it again?

If I hacktivate it will I have to update to 5.0.1 or can I keep 4.3.3? My baseband is 4.10 and I don't want to change it.

Run redsn0w 0.9.6rc15.

I believe that is the one for iOS 4.3.3

Latest redsnow should work just fine on 4.3.3. No you dont have to update to 5.0.1 if you dont want to.
