JB coming = means unlock more possible?

Just wondering, how does making unlocks work? Do the same people work on them, if not who is it these days (twitter)> I was reading the article Apple, iPhone and iPad News | ModMyi - Hacker Pod2g Says iPhone 4S Jailbreak Possible Within A Week and says "When the iPhone 4S is jailbroken, hackers and developers will have everything that they need to learn how the system ticks"

Historically there has been little to no correlation between jailbreaks being released and unlocks.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the musclenerd unlock either. Best to sell your phone on ebay and get one that can be unlocked now.

Don't think any of the iphone hackers will try doing unlocks for newer basebands anymore because apple now sells unlocked iPhones in stores and sells iPhones for every major carrier except T-Mobile.

Unlocks require work on a different chip than what jailbreaks work on.

And like B0bab0i says Apple now sells unlocked iPhones world wide so you can just pay a higher price to have an unlock forever. Even with updates.
