Trick iphone?

Is there any hardware or software available to trick my iphone into thinking whatever sim card I have in it is an at&t sim card? I would just unlock it.... but unfortunately:
My baseband is 5.15.04
My bootloader is 6.04

My iphone is 3g btw.

And is there any way at this point to reverse it? I wouldn't mind it, I dont really use gps, but I don't want it to be permanent. so I wanna be able to reverse it.

Wow, that sucks... any suggestions? and do you know if a reversable unlock or a reverse for that unlocks is in the works or gonna be out soon? I really wanna unlock this because I cannot afford at&t, I wanted to try to get it to work with tracfone, net 10, or gophone as I want a fairly inexpensive plan, and I would just get talk and text, but really, I would be just fine with a plan that had no talk, no text, and unlimited data. I could use apps for talk and text.

I hear H2O uses the same signal as ATT so you can use it on their network without unlocking I believe.
