Default Unlocking iPhone 2G on 3.1.3, and iPhone 3GS on 5.0.1
    Hi guys,

    Two things from me.

Firstly, does anyone have a guide that they know works for unlocking an iPhone 2G on 3.1.3. I have Mac OSX. I've tried using Redsn0w 0.9.3 and that's not working.

Secondly, I am wanting to jailbreak and unlock an iPhone 3GS on 5.0.1.

    • I have jailbroken successfully, and I have an iPhone 3GS on week 26 of 2009, does this mean it is now an untethered jailbreak? (all I have is jailbreak, not installed anything)
    • I had a baseband that wasn't unlock able. I upgraded to the iPad baseband in redsn0w when I jailbroke, however, when I have tried using ultrasn0w it didn't unlock correctly. I saw that you can download a fix from Cydia, but I've also seen the fix involving SSH'ing into the phone. Can anyone confirm which method works, and which is the best?
    • I also saw on the Dev Team blog, they said you should never use a stock IPSW when trying to unlock. I used the stock one from Apple when I jailbroke. Is this okay or should I use another IPSW?

Any links to guides/IPSW's would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
