Can iphone 4s gsm be unlocked?

Ive seen these websites online offering iphone 4s unlocking? Says that it wont void your warranty etc. can these sites be trusted? They are charging around $25 for the unlock, are these websites just scams an could potentionally brick your iphone??

ok ok thank you, just needed to clear some things up. somebody i know says thats theres a shop in my city that does iphone 4s unlocking for £55 ($120ish) lol so yer he's getting scammed

If it is a shop and unlocked through IMEI, it could be true. Just don't pay through Internet for unlock.

i agree with iYeow. if you pay a local shop (somewhere you can return too if unlock fails) for an unlock, then i would trust them (most likely IMEI unlock). these are the same unlocks that most carriers can provide.

but i would not purchase these from a website. as if it does not work, most likely the webesite will not return your emails, calls and or your $$$$.
