hi all firstly i am sorry if i should have looked harder in the threads befour posting this i have just purchased an iphone 4 on iso 5.0.1 firmware 04.11.08 can anyone pls tell me if i am able to get it unlocked from orange network??i have called orange and they said the original owner need to call befour they can help but can not get hold of the personi very stupidly paid a web site £20 for help and all they sent me was a link for redsn0w which did not help?an error incorrect build?is there any way to unlock this phone to all networks or shall i sell on and buy an unlocked one??pls help

There is no way you can unlock this iphone as the baseband has been updated and locked out. Sell it and get a factory unlocked iphone.

before i do sell i took the phone into a shop today and they said it can defo be unlocked for £50?? the chap took the imie number etc etc and said he will make a call and within 4 days i will get a text saying pls connect to itunes job done??
scam or not?

Not sure but if it is a shop, you can always go back and complaint if it is not done . Get a receipt that you paid 50 Euros for it.

yes you can trust them they are gonna factory unlock your iPhone for you and €50 it's pretty cheap what they gonna do they gonna take off your iPhone IMEI from orange database there are some people that can have this job done for me in the US but they charge $100

Only if your carrier is willing to do it by removing IMEI restrictions. Most carriers will unlock it for you after your 3 years of contract is up but not ATNT.

Word of advice... Whatever unlock it is as long as its from a shop, betta not do it coz it may unlock ur phone but not for long. I would advice goin for a gevey sim instead, its cheaper and definitely more reliable although abit troublesome... Just my thought though.
