Upgrading from 4.3.3. to 5.0.1.

Thanks ahead of time for tuning in to my post so anyways I am currently running an iPhone 4 on (4.3.3.) with a baseband of 04.10.01 + a Gevey sim (Tmobile)...

Since I do rely on a carrier unlock, is there an official guide on how to upgrade successfully without preventing my iPhone from bricking or preventing me from a carrier unlock?

You can create a custom firmware to preserve your baseband and restore to 5.0.1 to be able to use Gevey Sim. I pesonally would stay away as Gevey sim may or maynot work even with preserved baseband.

on a side note, can anyone confirm that they're running 5.0.1 with Gevey?
