Dead iPhone 3GS

A frustrating week have passed since I put my 3GS in a dead state,I tried preserving baseband and update from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1 and I got error -1.When I Restore the iPhone with custom firmware it's ok but still I don't have any modem firmware(baseband) its blank,I can't call or send sms.Also tried restore to factory settings but still error -1,I also hacktivated and reset all settings and tried restoring normally but still the same.I really don't know what other choices I got than throw the iPhone in the cupboard and don't touch it anymore.Is it possible there is no one out there knows how to fix this? Help would be really really appreciated.

I bought it new few weeks ago it was on 4.3.5 and I update to 5.0.1

then you could have bricked.. did you restore with custom ipsw to preserve baseband??
better go to Apple store and change one

it seams that apple has made a hardware modification to iphone 3gs newer then the 35 week of 2011. This newer iphones are olso bricked by updating to ipad baseband or downgrading to older stock dfu. If you have one of these new iphones would recommend to be very careful when doing any operation related to baseband modification. This new iphones have the serial format xx136xxxxxx (136 or bigger)

Im very frustrated, i think my y iPhone 3gs went to dead mode. 3 days ago i tried to down graded so i could put the iPad baseband so i could unlock it. But i couldn't first it went to recovery mode and had so menu iTunes errors, then something happened and went to dfu mode and could never get out of it. and got stock initializing libpois0n. Now i cant even got the iPhone to being recognize by iTunes on mac and not even on windows. can someone help?

hold home + power button and connect to computer.. iTunes will recognize it in recovery/DFU mode
