How could I tell if my iPhone was hacktivated?

I bought a phone from a friend and all works pretty well except my push notifications, they are inconsistent, sometimes they come in and sometimes they dont sometimes the notification happens with no sound...I was wondering if there was a way for me to tell if my phone was hacktivated so i know the reason this is happening, let me know. Thanks in advance.

By the way, it's an iPhone 4 with version 4.2.1 baseband 1.59.00.

Odds are it is because of the baseband it would have to be preserved to be on the firmware and have that baseband but I could be wrong
