Will restoring to a backup update the baseband?

I'm on a 3GS with 05.12.01. I restored my 5.0 after some misfortunes. While it was restoring, I began thinking about all the folder positions and stuff I had to do again. So, I started to search the interwebs, but I found nothing involving backups and basebands.

So, will restoring to an iCloud backup, after restoring to 5.0, update the baseband?

No, a restore from backup will not update your baseband.
