Default WARNING ON iPad baseband flashing on NEW/Refurbished 3gs
I have been trying to flashing 5 new 3gs 8gb with snowbreeze made for iOS5.0 and so far all of them turn brick with No IMEI, bluetooth, wifi and keeps showing searching.

It looks like apple changed their baseband chips.

    Anyone has this problem?

All iphones were bought after September 2011.

You should see it if you choose the jailbreak option after you have entered DFU.

even if they did i don't see the point when apple is selling 3GS for 375$ unlocked. i think it would be a waste of time if they did change them.

Don't think apple has done anything to the Baseband chip, is probably you are using an older version of redsnow or your computer is giving you this issue.
Is apple selling factory unlocked for 375.00

Factory unlocked is always the best if you travel frequently.

I had the same thing happen to me as well and I wasn't using b7. I've been terrified of doing any new ones for this exact reason. Will b7 do all the old ones as well?

To add to this, I still have the logic board from one of the 3GS iPhones that I borked. Is there a way to get the ICCID and IMEI back on the phone? Maybe possibly by reflashing the baseband using b7?

Very unlikely you can get back imei or Baseband, I think only apple can fix it.

Only time I have saved a phone from that is restoring to a custom firmware with iPad baseband built into it. It's a long shot though.

Do you have that custom firmware?

And does anyone know which serials will be able to do the baseband update without bricking the phone?
I have a 3GS that was bought in October 2011 that got bricked trying to update to iPad BB (6.15.00)

I have another 3GS that was bought around Feb 2010? I'm wonderding if this one will be able upgrade to iPad Baseband or does this one have a possibility of getting bricked also?

If you are at 4.3.3 or higher, use latest redsn0w of 0.9.6 RC18. Be sure to set it in xp sp2 compatibiliy mode and if you have a 64 bits, set your usb to 2.0 instead of 3.0 before you do the ipad bb update. If redsn0w crashes while updating ipad bb, very likely you will brick your iphone.
