    Default Unlock iPhone 4

    Does anyone know if I can unlock an iPhone 4 running iOS 5? I know it can be tether jailbroken but wasn't sure if it can be
    unlocked,

    If it has the iPhone 5 stock baseband then no. If it has a preserved iOS 4 baseband, then yes.

    Essentially, the 4.11.xx baseband is not unlockable.
