1610 doesn't exist on any lists, including the one you linked to, that's why I asked if it is 1601.

thanks for reply quick story i sold this phone as faulty as updated to iso 5 then got stuck in insert official carrier sim which tried a few with no joy so sold on,had an email from chap asking for refund as getting this error 1610??i have copied his email below:
ive tried the phone with 3 different cables and still nothing, when plugged into itunes it will show that the phone is in recovery mode, but if a restore is attempted it states error 1610, ive left it plugged into a wall charger all night and still no life, the most ive had from it is a all white screen, then all black then an apple logo then back to nothing and thats when a restore is attempted.as stated in the previous message it states usb device malfunctioned 90% of the time then the rest of the time does nothing but show its an apple device.
can anyone pls help with this as he says phone is a brick??

I've checked a couple error lists, none of them show a 1610. I've never seen a user get 1610 before either. The 16xx errors I have personally seen are 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, and 1611.
However, I could be wrong. It might just be a rare error.
Double check though please, different errors yield different solutions. If it is 1610, which I have no idea what it means, try updating/reinstalling iTunes if possible.
