Unlock iPhone 3G, 4.2.1, BB 5.14.04

I am confused by all the various notes and scattered instructions. I want to unlock this AT&T phone and use it with T-mobile.

I used pwnageTool 4.2 to jailbreak it and then used Ultrasn0w to "unlock" it but it couldn't connect to the network. Finally read somewhere that this baseband won't unlock.

I also read that the baseband can be upgraded to 06.15 and unlocked but

• it will need to be tethered each time I turn it off and on.
• the GPS will stop working.
• there is no way to restore to original configuration.

If that's so, neither of the first two issues are acceptable. Is there any chance that someone will figure out how to unlock this untethered and with working GPS?

Unfortunately , there isn't any solution.

Your jailbreak will be untethered but gps will not function properly.
