Iphone 4 Running IOS 5 preserved BB 04.10.01 gevey supreme DATA ISSUES please help.

I preserved the baseband, and hactivated it so i could actually get through the whole process of unlocking with the gevey supreme. Although not easy, i eventually was able to get bars WITH the Tmobile sign beside them. this took countless 112, sim tray pullings, and airplane mode switches. When following the regular directions for gevey supreme (yellow package) i would get bars but no tmobile sign. and i would also get E sign. but only for a minute then it would go into searching. and it would continue to do that like a loop.

My question:
Once i got tmobile working stable with the tmobile sign, i had no edge connection.
this is weird because on my first try i had edge, but the tmobile sign was not there and the network went in and out.
i want to get both edge, and the tmobile sign.

edge isn't working and i've tried rebooting (a hassle since its tethered jailbreak)
and i've tried installing api packages with unlockit
nothing has worked.
should i restore and try again?

any advice from gevey supreme users? (yellow package)

how did you manage to hacktivate the phone ???!?!?

using the advanced settings in ultrasn0w.
there is an option to hacktivate.

sorry to be such a pain in the butt ,but i need to ask you are you on the offical carrier now? so if you need to activate the ios you need the offical carrier sim or there is no need for that and dont you mean redsnow instead of ultrasnow ????

You do not need the official att carrier sim card if you hacktivate, that is the piont of hacktivating lol.

Nope i mean ultrasn0w. its only for pcs.
it preserves your baseband and jailbreaks your iphone.
if you select advanced settings you go to general and then choose "hacktivate"
than create custom ipsw
then it puts your iphone into DFU mode
then you restore your iphone with itunes using their custom ipsw
and bam.

i'm sure there are tutorials on here somewhere.

but ultrasnow is the software you need to install from cydia to unlock your iphone ,,, this is so confusing and sadly the newest version of redsnow(maybe the software you are talking about) is only available to the mac and i use windows so miserable ....

**** yeah i was able to update to ios 5 and preserve my 01.59 baseband and didn't need my orignal sim and my shsh is available in sydia installing ultrasnow to unlock .... i'm so happy right now

currently i'm in Ukraine and i'm using life carrier (no i didn't add the smiley face it's the carrier name cool ) i installed ultrasnow did a tetherd boot and everything went better than expected the new ios 5 is waaaaaaaay faster than ios 4 and cydia also runs very smooth even though i added 10 sources so far .. installing the essential tweaks like sbsettings i hope you manage to find a solution to your problem
