    Default iOS5 with iPad BB

Hi, I just updated my 3GS that's rocking the iPad BB to iOS 5 and managed to jailbreak it and unlock it successfully. However, even though I did not activate location services during the first setup, every time I now turn it on, my carrier service starts randomly crashing and so does wifi. Any idea why this might be happening? Is the iPad BB crashing? Should I ref lash it?

    Thanks!! :-)

Does your wifi crash like every 2 minutes or so?

Did you try and restore to a regular 5.0 at any time?

Had this problem before dude. :/ what I did was, downgraded to 4.1 (saved blobs) and stuck with it for a little while (maybe a day or 2). Downloaded the iOS 5 firmware again from a site, and made a CFW with sn0wbreeze. (I have iPhone 3GS old boot room 6.15 btw). Once done I loaded up the custom firmware onto my iPhone and did the whole set up. Disabled the location services and what not, it seemed to work after that. Never had a problem with wifi nor signal issue

I haven't tried downgrading and re-upgrading afterwards. However, as long as I keep location services disabled (under iOS 5), I have no problem whatsoever with both wifi and carrier signal...

Oh okay I see, I never turned on location services after reading a post on here. I'll enable it and post my results

Dont mean to hijack the thread but could you tell me which programs you used to jailbreak and unlock to ios 5 I have 3gs with 6.15 bb also and am running 4.3.3 (all blobs saved) but am eager to give ios5 a try in the near future. Waiting for kinks to be worked out but also want to make sure I can unlock as I am with tmobile.

    Main conversation:

I'm thrilling I'm not the only one having this problem. The first time I JB I didn't uncheck Location Services and I redid it. I kind of messed up (I think the redsn0w options on the Mac version were unclear) so I moved from 05.11 to iPad BB. I did it correctly the second time, but it seems like location was wonky in maps -- then came the dropping of service/data/wifi.

Where should I be keeping my eye on for a possible tweak to be released?

mindyish -- I'm also on T-Mobile with a 3GS. I'm now on the 06.15 BB (I think I was on 4.3.3 as well) so I think you could be okay. redsn0w has an option to install (in your case preserve) the iPad BB during the jailbreak.
